Overview:
It is a great pleasure to introduce you to our school’s elementary section.
We believe that the elementary stage is the foundation for the future. As an education system in a foreign country, we are passionately motivated to provide our students with the best education and supportive environment.
Because the world in which we live in is constantly changing, it is a duty for us to build in our students the self-confidence and resilience needed to instill in them the love of learning. Thus, teaching them to be active individuals in this modern society.
To achieve our goal, we follow new teaching methodologies, we work with a team of highly qualified and academically experienced teachers, we offer international curriculum, and we follow the common core standards of education.
We believe in demonstrating kindness, compassion and in building a caring school community.
Shortly, we support our students during their educational journey to become independent, reliable individuals.
Teaching Methodology:
In this modern world, it is important to use different and variable teaching methods in different teaching stages especially in the elementary one.
That is why we are always keen to use a student-centered learning approach rather than the teacher-centered approach; which leaves out many skills and opportunities for students.
Teachers adapt their teaching practices according to certain criteria, such as the subject areas and students’ various age levels.
Our methods include, but are not limited to:
- An inquiry-based method that emphasizes independent learning. It promotes student learning and understanding through asking, making mistakes, and working on a variety of explorative projects and assignments.
- A project-based learning method in which students gain knowledge and skills by working for an extended period of time to investigate and respond to an authentic, interactive and complex question, problem or challenge.
This method is designed to provide students with opportunities to enhance their skills through engaging projects that are set around to challenge them to solve real-life problems.
Common Core Standards of Education:
The common core standards of education are a modern set of academic standards adopted by 43 states in America. The educational standards describe what students should know and be able to do in every subject in each grade from kindergarten through high school; they are designed to prepare students for success in collage and in the workplace.
Activities:
Elementary students are creative, capable, and full of energy! They only need the proper guidance which allows them to reach their full potential; that is why we prepare activity ideas for all personality types and skill levels, such as indoor activities, outdoor activities, games, crafts and even educational movies..
Parent/ Teacher relationship:
Because a child’s education can be greatly enhanced by the parents’ involvement in the classroom and at home, we value communication with parents as we offer them guidance on how to work with our students at home in support of the child’s learning experience.
We involve them in activities such as trips, competitions and science fairs… etc.
We always collaborate to make sure our students are progressing and succeeding in all aspects.
